Massage Therapy

All of our practitioners are registered, licensed massage therapists, and use a variety of treatments, including deep tissue massage, Myofascial release, Craniosacral therapy, and pre and post natal care. When massage therapy is used in combination with chiropractic care, adjustments may hold longer, and are significantly more effective.

Massage therapy is used by many people, for many reasons, often as part of a pain management program. Massage therapy can be used to rehabilitate from many types of injuries, including sports and motor vehicle accidents, long-term postural issues, and the various muscular imbalances that come about in our daily work-play routines. It has a positive effect on the neuromuscular and circulatory systems, can help improve respiratory function, and can help decrease the physiological effects of stress.

When muscles are chronically tense, there are often adhesions of painful, rigid tissue in the muscles, tendons, and liagments. These painful adhesions block circulation, limit movement, and are often inflamed. Massage therapy can break down these adhesions to rid clients of pain, and restore normal movement. Massage therapy can help realign deep layers of muscles and connective tissue, and combines stretching and massage to release stress and tension within the body’s muscles. Some reasons why people seek massage therapy include:

  • chronic pain

  • limited mobility

  • recovery from injuries, such as whiplash, falls, sports injury

  • repetitive strain injury, such as carpal tunnel syndrome

  • postural problems

  • osteoarthritis pain

  • fibromyalgia

  • muscle tension or spasm

  • back pain

  • stress injuries

  • chronic fatigue

  • anxiety
